Man suffers broken nose and ribs after weekend attack in Swanfield Road, Whitstable.

A man suffered a broken nose and ribs after he was attacked from behind in Whitstable on Saturday night.

The 26-year-old was in Swanfield Road between 11.30pm and 11.50pm when he was assaulted after being approached from behind.

He says he remembers falling to the ground before suffering a broken nose, fractured ribs and concussion.

Police say they found the man with a bloody nose after being called to a disturbance.

They have issued an appeal for information following the attack and say a number of people were seen in the area at the time.

Officers say they want to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or have information about the person or people responsible.
