Murder case latest: dad thanks well-wishers

A father says he is "overwhelmed" by messages from well-wishers following the death of his son.

Father-of-one Luke Brocklebank, 26, was killed with a stab wound to the heart in Brymore Road, Canterbury, last Thursday.

In an eloquent tribute, his father Barrie explains how he had to tell Luke's five-year-old son his dad had died.

Mr Brocklebank says he has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of grief over his lost son.

He has been inundated with cards and text messages in the last week.

“We’ve had hundreds of messages with beautiful words.

"It has been wonderful to see how many people knew and cared about Luke.

“The knowledge that so many people have such strong feelings has sustained me through this and I would like to thank them."
