Person taken to hospital after car crash into tree at Littlebourne Road, Canterbury

One casualty has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree.

The collision happened at Littlebourne Road, Canterbury, at about 10.50am.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called at 10.51am following reports a car had collided with a tree on the side of the road.

"One person has been taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

"The road is currently closed to allow recovery of the vehicle."
