Canterbury: Search for owner of 3ft Barbie

A puzzled mum has launched an appeal to find the owner of a 3ft Barbie which she found abandoned in a bus stop.

Claire Littlefield discovered the unusually large doll in Nackington Road on Saturday and has so far been unable to track down its owner.

But rather than leaving it on the side of the road, Claire has decided to make newly-named "Chardonnay" feel right at home - she has so far enjoyed a glass of wine in the garden and taken the dog out for a walk.

Claire launched the appeal to find its owner on Facebook's Canterbury Residents Group and the search has had many people chuckling, with some saying Claire should start a new page - Chardonnay's Travels.

Claire told Kent Online: "It was a very odd thing to see on the side of the road but I decided to bring her home because she is absolutely massive and someone out there must be missing her.

"It makes me sad to think of a little girl out there without her Barbie, so hopefully we can reunite them.

"So far, nobody has come forward but there has been a lot of shares on Facebook.

"We have named her Chardonnay, because I think she suits that name, and she's been enjoying herself at home with us.

"My daughter thinks I'm crazy but hopefully we can find her owner."
