Downs Road in Canterbury taped off by police

A police cordon has been set up around a row of houses in a street on the outskirts of Canterbury.

Officers have taped off an area stretching to about 40 metres in Downs Road and have been seen going in and out of one of the homes.

Neighbours in the street, which is near the University of Kent and popular with students, say the police arrived shortly before 8pm last night.
