Teenager from south London arrested on suspicion of carrying bladed item and heroin in St Peter's Place, Canterbury

A teenager from south London has been arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin.

The 17-year-old was arrested at around 9.30pm last night in St Peter's Place in Canterbury.

The police confirmed this afternoon that the boy was arrested on suspicion of having a bladed article, possession of a controlled substance and possession of heroin with intent to supply.

The spokesman said: "He is currently in custody."
