Ducks killed with slingshot on River Stour in Westgate Gardens Canterbury

Several ducks have been killed by thugs who shot them with a slingshot.

Canterbury city council revealed earlier today the ducks had been killed on a section of the River Stour.

The animals were found dead on a section of the river which runs through Westgate Gardens, in St Peter's Street, Canterbury.

The tweet revealed someone had seen using the slingshot in the park and the witness would be reporting the matter to police.

The council's Westgate parks officer, Sadie Williams and enforcement officers would also be stepping up patrols in the area to nip the issue in the bud as soon as possible.
