Van hits fallen tree on A251 near Challock

Emergency crews were called out after a van hit a tree that had fallen across the A251 near Challock.

Police were called at around 2.40am today to reports a tree had fallen across the road.

Shortly after, another call came in, reporting a van had hit the tree.

Police, highways officers and ambulance crews were called, and the road was shut between the M2 slip road and the Challock roundabout while the tree was removed.

The road was reopened at around 6.25am. No-one is believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
