Teenager, 18, hit by lorry in Dartford

A teenager has been taken to hospital after being hit by a lorry in Dartford today.

The 18-year-old boy suffered a head injury in the crash just after 1pm near the Elms Service Station in Princes Road.

The Kent Air Ambulance attended but it is not known whether the boy was flown to hospital or taken by land ambulance.

Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service also helped, making the scene safe.

Traffic was diverted from the area, although the road had reopened by 2.15pm. Police were still at the scene at 2.45pm.
