Police are appealing for information after cars were damaged in Greenhithe.

Officers are investigating four separate reports of damage to parked cars in Jubilee Close and Knockhall Road in the early hours of July 22.

Police have only made the information available now.

All of the incidents are believed to have taken place between 3am and 4am.

  • A white Volvo parked in Jubilee Close had its drivers side window smashed - XY/22589/13
  • A blue Renault Kangoo parked in Knockhall Road had its rear offside window smashed - XY/22580/13
  • A blue Vauxhall Corsa parked in Knockhall Road had its passenger side window smashed - XY/22590/1
  • A white Ford Transit parked in Knockhall Road had its passenger window and windscreen smashed - XY/22690/13

Officers would like to trace a group of people aged 17 to 18 who were seen in the area at that time.

It is believed there were ten people, all with their hoods up, some carrying golf clubs.

The group was seen to split, with some of the people running towards Knockhall Park and the rest running towards London Road.

Investigating officer PC Steve Selter said: "Mindless vandalism like this is incredibly frustrating and upsetting for the victims and causes a lot of inconvenience and fear in what is otherwise a very safe area.

"We absolutely will not tolerate people behaving like this. I believe the people described here would be able to help us with our enquiries, so am asking anybody with information to come forward."

Call PC Selter on 01474 366617 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
