Appeal after robbery at Bluewater shopping centre

Police are hunting for two men after a couple were reportedly robbed at Bluewater.

The suspects are said to have approached the man and woman after they had completed their shopping and were walking back to their car on Friday evening.

One man is reported to have threatened the male victim and demanded his mobile phone and designer watch, which he handed over.

The second suspect is alleged to have demanded the woman hand over her watch before noticing she wasn't wearing one.

The incident took place on the second floor of the shopping centre's Guildhall red car park at 7.30pm.

Both suspects then started to run away before the first man came back and cut the offside rear tyre. They then fled the scene in a silver BMW.

One suspect was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black hooded top and black trainers with a light coloured panel on the front. The other was wearing a dark blue tracksuit with a black gilet.

Both are black and aged 25 to 35 years old and were wearing their hoods pulled tight over their heads and had white surgical masks over their faces. One was also wearing blue latex gloves.

Kent Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or anyone acting suspiciously in the period leading up to the reported robbery.
