Car and ambulance crash in London Road, Stone

An ambulance and a car collided as the emergency services vehicle was responding to a call.

The crash happened in London Road, Stone, at 8.15pm last night.

A man who had been in the car was assessed by paramedics but neither he nor the ambulance crew needed to be taken to hospital.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “The ambulance was responding to a call in the area, backing up an ambulance which was already in attendance.

"Ambulance crews assessed a man from the car at the scene for minor injuries. He was discharged at the scene.The ambulance crew also did not require hospital treatment.”

Emergency services remained at the scene until 10.25pm.
