A car with false number plates was seen towing away a mobile Prosecco bar in a converted horsebox in broad daylight.

A CCTV image of the silver Vauxhall estate which was being driven by a white man with long brown hair and wearing a grey jumper have now been released by police.

It comes after the converted horse box was taken from the driveway of a home in Main Road, Hextable, at 11.45am last Thursday.

The trailer had recently become the home of The Pretty Little Tea Co. and served afternoon tea.

Sophie Dean and her business partner, Sarah Moroney, had long dreamt of opening their own company.

Yet the pair were left "heartbroken" after the horsebox converted by their husbands into a mobile Prosecco bar was stolen.

PC Harry Wager said: "The owners have worked so hard to convert this horsebox into a bespoke catering unit, to realise their ambitions of running their own company and are naturally devastated that it has now been stolen.

"We are working hard to locate their trailer and identify those responsible, but also need help from members of the public.

"If you have seen it, or know the whereabouts of the silver car, please don’t hesitate to get in touch."
