Gordon Semple from Greenhithe has been reported missing after last being seen at a hotel near the Shard in London

Concern is mounting for the welfare of a 59-year-old man from Greenhithe who was last seen in a luxury hotel in London.

The Metropolitan Police issued a appeal over the weekend for the whereabouts of Gordon Semple, who has not been seen for three days.

The last known sighting of Mr Semple was at the 5 star Shangri-la Hotel on the 52nd floor of The Shard, Britain's tallest building, just before midday on Friday.

He was reported missing by his partner after he failed to return from his workplace near the hotel at London Bridge.

Mr Semple is described as a white male, 5ft 10ins tall of medium build with dark hair. He was last seen wearing brown shoes, dark trousers and a lilac shirt.

Metropolitan Police officers urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call police in Westminster on 101 or Missing People on 116000 quoting ref 16MIS013292.
