woman 42 cut free from car after smash on the A2 Darenth interchange

A 42-year-old woman had to be cut free from her car after a crash on the A2 Darenth interchange last night.

The two-vehicle collision just after 7pm caused traffic chaos after the coastbound junction was closed for nearly 20 minutes.

The freed driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Nobody else was hurt.

Two teams of fire fighters from Dartford dealt with the incident.

Crew manager Jason 0'Reilly said: "It was minor shunt. It was just unfortunate we had to close the road for safety reasons.

Kent Police were also at the scene.
