Dartford fire crews called to blazing garden shed in Chatsworth Road

Firefighters were called to a burning garden shed in Dartford last night.

Two Dartford fire crews attended an address in Chatsworth Road at 11pm and spent 30 minutes tackling the flames.

It's believed the cause of the blaze was accidental, possibly caused by lamps overheating inside.

The shed contained a number of personal items.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said the owner acted quickly to douse the fire using a garden hose but half the shed was destroyed.

A man in his 20s was given oxygen therapy after breathing in smoke while tackling the flames.
