Homes evacuated after fire

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

Firefighters tackled a house fire in Swanscombe last
night.

Crews from both Dartford and Thames-side fire stations attended
the blaze at around 7pm on Wednesday, December 30,
in Irving Walk.

The blaze broke out inside a three-bedroom
terrace property.

No one was injured in the fire but neighbouring properties
did have to be evacuated to allow firefighters to tackle the
blaze.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started in the
kitchen when cooking was left unattended.
