Sutton-at-Hone lakes closed in hunt for missing 16-year-old boy

Police have confirmed that a body has been recovered in the hunt for a missing 16-year-old boy.

Emergency crews pulled the body from a lake in Sutton-at-Hone earlier today.

The teenager's next-of-kin has been informed and he has formally identified.

The death is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Police, paramedics, firefighters and coastguard officers were involved in the search.

The boy, who has not been named, was reported missing yesterday just before 2pm.

This afternoon Kent Fire & Rescue Service announced it was using a drone to scan the area around Gravel Road for any clues.
