Checks identified two Indian men who were working illegally.

A 31-year-old man, who is a failed asylum seeker with no permission to work, was arrested and transferred to immigration detention pending removal from the UK.

The second man, 31, has an outstanding immigration application, but had no permission to work.

He was escorted from the premises and must now report regularly to the Home Office while his case is dealt with.

Police spokesman Jo Pattinson said: "Gravesend Community Policing Team assisted the Home Office Immigration Service at three addresses in New Barn Road on Tuesday, September 3."
