Crayford: Lee Tidy faces jail after armed stand off

A man faces jail following an armed stand-off in Crayford.

Firearms officers surrounded Lee Tidy's home at 5.40pm on Monday, April 23.

It followed reports the 37-year-old had been seen in a nearby road holding a gun.

Officers stormed the property and arrested Tidy who appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court two days later charged with possession of an imitation firearm, with intent to cause fear of violence.

Appearing at Woolwich Crown Court last week he admitted the offence and is due to return to the same court on Wednesday, June 20 for sentencing.
