Passengers evacuated from Eurostar train at Ebbsfleet International train station

Firefighters were called to Ebbsfleet International train station this morning to reports of a train on fire.

Five fire crews attended at 9:30am, along with support vehicles.

It comes after reports of smoke coming from a Eurostar train.

Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras and located a small electrical fire in the engine compartment.

A number of carriages were evacuated as a precaution, though no one has been hurt.

Eurostar said it was laying on another train for passengers.
