Ambulance crews resuscitate pensioner in Sainsbury's car park off Instone Road, Dartford after he suffered a heart attack

A pensioner was resuscitated in a supermarket car park yesterday after he suffered a heart attack.

Ambulances were called to Sainsbury's car park off Instone Road yesterday at 3.40pm to reports of a man collapsed.

When paramedics arrived, the man, in his 70s, was unresponsive before he suffered a heart attack.

He was resuscitated at the scene before being taken to Darent Valley Hospital for further treatment.

An ambulance spokesman said the man had regained consciousness before arriving at the hospital but his latest condition remains unknown.

The Kent Air Ambulance were also called to the incident.
