Motorists traveling along the route from Dartford to Bexleyheath will have to follow a diversion via Princes Road, Shepherds Lane, and Old Bexley Lane.

The closure is in place for approximately three days.

In June 2022 the same road was closed for five weeks after a collapsed water sewer caused traffic disruption – six months after the same spot was affected.

Enquiries should be directed to Thames Water on 0800 980 8800.

A spokesman for Thames Water said: “

A Thames Water spokesperson said: “On Sunday afternoon, we’re repairing a clean water pipe on Crayford Road, which will require a lane closure for the safety of our engineers and for motorists.

“We’ll repair and reinstate the road as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.”

The company has been contacted for comment.
