Children tackle climbing wall as part of summer holiday fun at Acacia Hall in Dartford

Spider-Man’s latest adventure lit up the box office last month and youngsters channelled the famous superhero with some wall-crawling of their own.

Intrepid adventurers finished off the first week of their summer holiday by taking on a climbing wall at Acacia Hall in Dartford, part of Dartford council’s annual Summer Sizzlers programme.

Despite the lofty height of the wall, no previous experience of climbing was needed, with each child kitted out in a dashing helmet and a safety harness.

Plenty took part throughout Friday, with the wide-eyed grins on show a sure sign that it beat being in the classroom.

There are a whole host of other activities planned across the borough throughout August, including Fit For Sport Camps at Fairfield, Teen Gym Sessions at Becket Sports Centre, and Art Workshops at What If Gallery in Dartford High Street.

Acacia Hall will also be used for more summer fun before the six-week break comes to a close.
