Breakers yard at Bean catches fire near the A2

Around 10 vehicles caught fire at a breaker's yard in Bean this afternoon.

Smoke could be seen billowing over the A2 after the blaze at the yard, believed to be called A2 Car Breakers.

Four fire engines tackled the blaze, with crews using two hose reel jets and a main jet.

There are not believed to be injuries in the fire, which started just after 1.30pm and was brought under control just after 4pm.
