Traffic held on A2 near Darenth and Bean after multi-vehicle crash

Traffic has been stopped on one of the county’s main roads after a multi-vehicle crash.

Motorists on the A2 near the Darenth Interchange and Bean are facing four miles of queues and delays as a result of the crash.

It happened between Junction 2 for the M25 and the B225 at Bean.

All traffic has been held temporarily while emergency services deal with the incident.

It’s believed a car and a motorbike were involved in the collision.

The incident was cleared at around 7.30pm, with all lanes open but a 30 minute delay in place.

Police have been contacted for more information.
