Tony Burman has called on the Princes Park faithful to help his side bounce back from the disappointment of their 5-2 midweek defeat at Grimsby.

Dartford host Southport in The Skrill Premier on Saturday looking for a repeat of last weekend’s resounding home win over Kidderminster.

Burman praised the Darts supporters for their vocal backing in that game and urged them to turn up the volume again.

Southport arrive in north Kent having lost their last five league games on the road.

Burman said: "I can’t stress enough how important it is that they get behind the guys.

"We’re in a difficult time, we know that, but there isn’t a lack of effort from anybody.

"People have got to realise it is going to be tough and we need to try to get our points at home.

"It’s been a difficult week but if we can finish it with six points from the three games, it doesn’t look too bad."

Burman expects to welcome back Jason Prior (ankle) to the Darts squad after the striker failed a fitness test ahead of the trip to Grimsby.

However, defender Tyrone Sterling is back in the treatment room after a suspected calf injury forced him off after just 10 minutes at Blundell Park.
