Dartford scored twice in the second half to overcome Conference North Solihull Moors in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.

A stale first half was livened only by a couple of impressive saves from Darts keeper Jason Brown.

But whatever was said in manager Tony Burman’s half-time teamtalk certainly worked as the hosts took control after the break.

Skipper Elliot Bradbrook led the way, tucking home from the penalty spot after 54 minutes after youngster Callum Driver had been pushed in the box.

Darren Byfield went close to pulling Solihull level but he was denied by another excellent Brown stop.

Substitute Ryan Hayes, who replaced the injured Mat Mitchel-King, provided the assist for the second goal when his pass set up Tom Bradbrook, who produced a neat finish in the 73rd minute.
