Dartford manager Tony Burman says players being released by Ebbsfleet United are worth talking to

Players being released by Ebbsfleet could follow Tom Bonner to Dartford.

Darts boss Tony Burman is monitoring the Stonebridge Road exits, which so far include Joe Howe, Brandon Hall, Michael West, Aiden Palmer and Theo Lewis.

Bonner left Fleet last week to rejoin Dartford and he may not be the last to walk that path.

Burman said: "The players Ebbsfleet have released are all good players and players that other clubs have released are good players. If they want to speak to us, they will be in touch.

"Just because they’ve been released from Ebbsfleet, it’s no shame. I think they’re decent players and lots of them are worth talking to.

"A lot of clubs did their retained and released lists late. That’s why we got the players who were here last year. I got the nucleus of the squad from last year because, let’s not forget, we weren’t too far away from getting in the play-offs.

"I don’t want to throw that hard work away. We needed to keep the nucleus and add to it.

"There are a number of clubs who are still releasing players and I’m sure there will be a number of players who we still have to talk to.

"We’ve spoken to some players and they’ve signed for others clubs. There’s nothing you can do about that but we were in there with a shout. It’s one of those things.

"In the coming weeks, I hope we will make some more announcements and the players I’m hoping to get will come and improve the squad."
