Dartford FC and Ebbsfleet United go head-to-head at Princes Park on Bank Holiday Monday

The stage is set for Monday afternoon's north Kent derby between Dartford and Ebbsfleet.

In what will be the first league meeting between the clubs for almost three years, Fleet arrive at Princes Park second in Vanarama National League South and still unbeaten.

But they haven't won a league game in Dartford since 1983 and Tony Burman's side come into the game on the back of a superb 2-0 win at Margate on Saturday.

This will be Fleet boss Daryl McMahon's first taste of the derby as a manager.

He said: "I expect it to be a noisy, loud, eventful game.

"They had a good win on Saturday against Margate but we go there in good spirits.

"We’ve had four wins and a draw and come back from 2-0 down against a very good side (Whitehawk) so we go there in confident mood."

McMahon was in the Fleet side knocked out of the FA Cup by Dartford in 2013/14, when Elliot Bradbrook's penalty settled the replay after a 1-1 draw at Stonebridge Road.

"I hope it's another exciting game and I’m sure it will be," McMahon said. "There’s no way it’s going to be a boring game on Monday.

"Tony’s a very good manager, very experienced, he’s got a good side there and they’ve been together a long time. They got relegated from Conference Premier as well so it’s another test for us against a side that have been playing in a higher division than us."

Kick-off at Princes Park is at 3pm.
