Dover boy accused of having gun at Asda in Charlton Green

A 16-year-old Dover boy has been charged with attempted robbery and a firearms offence at an Asda supermarket.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear before magistrates in Folkestone next Wednesday.

Staff at the store, in Charlton Green, reported seeing a handgun when youths were causing problems at 8.30pm last Thursday.

The boy is facing an attempt robbery charge and that of having a firearm with intent to commit an offence.
