Police are hunting a man who has been making “inapproporiate suggestions” to women at a well-known beauty spot on the outskirts of Dover.

Several women have complained about the man who they say has been loitering at Kearsney Abbey and staring at them before approaching them and making the suggestions.

He appears to be particularly targeting dog walkers, and police are warning people, especially women, not to approach him.

He is described as a white man in his early 20s, of slim build, with pale skin, short, dark, wavy hair and blue eyes. He has been described as “good-looking” and well-spoken.

He wears smart casual clothes which sometimes include a three-quarter length jacket. Some witnesses have said that he appears to have a bus timetable in his shirt pocket.

The police are asking people to call them if they see this man but not to approach him. If possible, they should try and see where he goes.

Anything suspicious should be reported to the park keeper if he is on duty, or phone the police on 101.

Anyone with information who would prefer to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
