Deal pier is "too dangerous" says pier attendant following severe weather warnings.

The pier closed at around 2.50pm today as wind and rain hit the coastline.

Pier attendant Chris Burrows said: "We've just closed the pier now.

"We won't be re-opening till 8am tomorrow morning. It's definitely too dangerous for people to walk on the pier so we've made the decision to close."

Mr Burrows explained that the restaurant, Jasin's is also closed.
