Dover Athletic's play-off chances in Blue Square Bet South are hanging by a thread after their Easter Monday home defeat by Sutton United.

Nicky Forster's (pictured) side are now five points behind fifth-placed Chelmsford with only three games left following their fourth successive defeat at Crabble.

Fourth-placed Sutton dominated the first half and were full value for their 2-0 interval thanks to strikes in the opening 25 minutes from Tony Taggard and Craig Watkins.

Dover made a better fist of the second half and Terry Dixon, Barry Cogan, Billy Bricknell and late substitute Rob Edmans all had chances but Whites were unable to make the breakthrough they needed.
