David Harding of Hillcrest Road, Kingsdown, charged with multiple historic serious sexual offences

A former teacher has been charged with historic sex offences against two pupils.

David Harding, of Hillcrest Road, Kingsdown, near Deal, is accused of 17 offences, including five counts of indecent assault against boys under 14 and 12 counts of inciting gross indecency against boys under 14.

The 79-year-old man is said to have carried out the alleged crimes between 1977 and 1981 at a school in Banstead, Surrey.

Harding is on conditional bail and is due to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court in Redhill on October 24.
