Freemasons help Theo Knott's mission to walk and beat his cerebral palsy

Thanet Freemasons have given £1,000 towards Theo’s Mission to Walk.

Each year the St Lawrence Lodge in Ramsgate selects a number of worthy causes to be beneficiaries of the funds they raise.

Among this year’s proposed recipients was the appeal to help Freddie Penny receive eye surgery to restore his sight.

But this appeal reached its target shortly after they agreed to support it so his mother, Robyn Gough, requested the donation to go to Theo’s Mission to Walk.

Theo Knott, five, from Deal has cerebral palsy. His parents are running a £70,000 campaign to help pay for spinal surgery and aftercare, which will help him to walk pain free.

The lodge members agreed to Robyn’s requesr and a cheque for £1,000 was presented to the youngster and his mum, Naomi Morton, at the Ramsgate Masonic Centre on August 28.

A donation of £1,484 was also made to the Thanet Disabled Riding Centre in Broadstairs at the same time.
