Reports sweep social media that man found dead in Tower Hamlets area of Dover was covered in cling film

Police have refused to comment on claims sweeping social media that a man found dead at a flat in Dover was wrapped in cling film and may have died when a sex game went wrong.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder after the body was discovered at the property in the Tower Hamlets area of the town at around 6am on Tuesday.

The men, aged 21 and 34 and both from Dover, have been bailed until November 7 pending further inquiries.

Reports circulating today said police were investigating the theory that the death was a result of asphyxiation caused by cling film.

A spokesman for Kent Police said it would be "inappropriate" to comment on the claims.

Forensics officers were seen coming out of the property, which is terraced and above a hairdressers - named either Janice's or East 3.

Officers were paying particular attention to a blue Renault Vel Satis, half parked on the kerb with its hazard lights left on.
