Organiser Chris West said visitors can expect to see Model T Fords, Aston Martins and rare motors such as the Gilburn and a Peugeot 5CV.

He said: “This is our fifth year in Deal and it’s fair to say the event has grown quite dramatically. We started off with only 230 cars.

“The weather forecast is looking very good so we’re hoping to top 700 cars. We’ve got car clubs from the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Northampton and Durham coming along.”

As well as the motors, there will be live music entertainment on two stages. Performers will include Ben Mills and his band, Abalicious, Jodie South, Martin Farbrother and a Michael Buble tribute.

The Ava Concert Band will be performing on the bandstand at 2.30pm and a fly-past by the RAF Dakota will be at 3.15pm.

Thanks has been given to the gold sponsors Bayliss Executive Travel and Kent County Council.
