Woman in 30s assaulted near entrance to Pencester Gardens, Dover

Police need witnesses to come forward after a woman was threatened and assaulted near a park entrance.

The victim, in her 30s, and the suspect are believed to be known to each other.

It happened by the entrance of Pencester Gardens at around 9.30am on Tuesday, May 22.

A 30-year-old man from Dover was arrested that day in connection with the incident.

He was released on bail until Thursday, June 14.

Investigating officer PC Daniel Hodgson said: "There are busy and well-used bus stops near to the entrance to Pencester Gardens and we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to think whether they saw anything which could assist our enquiries."
