Man taken to hospital after being hit over head with bottle in London Road, Dover

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after he was struck over the head with a bottle.

Police say he was standing in London Road in Dover, near the junction with Cherry Tree Avenue on Sunday, March 3 when the assault took place at 10.45pm.

The victim reported that he was approached by two men who briefly spoke to him.

When he turned away, he was struck over the head with a bottle and suffered a large cut to his head and later attended a local hospital for medical attention.

Officers say they have made several inquiries, including reviewing CCTV and are now appealing for witnesses.
