A 41-year-old is due in court today charged with breach of the peace after a man was caught up in an eight-hour stand-off with police in Dover.
Emile Sart, 41, of Nelson Terrace, Dover, is due before Medway Magistrates later today.
It comes after a stand-off in the same road on Wednesday.
The man was said to have locked himself in a house after allegedly being seen in the street with the weapon.
Several police vans, patrol cars and dog units were seen in the Melbourne Avenue area.
An area was taped off and witnesses said a man had locked himself inside a property.
The incident finally ended when police forced their way into the home and arrested a man.
No-one was injured in the stand-off.
