Dover actress Karol Steele has featured in an advert for James Blunt’s latest album The Afterlove.

Mrs Steele was chosen for one of the four speaking roles alongside the Your Beautiful singer after auditioning with hundreds of other hopefuls.

The advert was shot in an Army Cadet hall in North London, an appropriate setting for the former Life Guards Army Captain.

Mrs Steele, who plays a character called Jane, said: “James was a very nice man, funny, self-effacing, and polite – he thanked us all for helping him with the advert, and even autographed my CDs.”

The advert can be seen online but will also be shown on TV to advertise the release of the album on Friday.

This is not the first time Mrs Steele has seen herself on screen.

Her credits include supporting actress roles in Les Mis and Muppets Most Wanted and Suffragette. TV appearances include ITV’s Edge of Heaven.
