This relates to the death of Steven Greenway, 49, whose body was found in his flat in Riverside Heights on Dock Road, Tilbury, Essex, on Monday, January 18.

A subsequent forensic post-mortem indicated that he may have been assaulted before he died and his death is being treated as suspicious.

Detective Inspector, Alan Pitcher said: “We are making progress with the investigation and have now arrested two people in connection with Steven’s death.

“Enquiries are ongoing and I ask anyone who knows of Steven’s last movements to get in touch.

“Did you hear a disturbance in Riverside Heights in the week commencing January 11? If so, please contact myself or my team.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Essex Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
