Two separate crashes on the same stretch of the A2 in Dover caused major rush hour delays this evening.

The first smash involved two cars and happened on the London-bound carriageway of Jubilee Way between the Eastern Docks roundabout and the A258.

Only minor injuries have been reported.

Shortly after, three vehicles collided on the port-bound carriageway.

Highways teams were called to deal with an oil spillage and clear debris from the road.

Police and ambulance crews were also called to the scene.
