Dover district falls silent to remember 30 holidaymakers killed by gunmen in Tunisia

People from across the Dover district today fell silent to remember the 30 British holiday makers murdered in Tunisia.

Armed gunmen stormed into a Sousse hotel last Friday at noon, brutally killing guests and those sunbathing on the nearby beach.

It has been reported that the gun was concealed in a beach parasol.

Today, a national minute's silence was held at noon.

Staff from Dover District Council gathered outside their office to pay their respects and the Port of Dover did the same.

Deal Town Hall and Dover Town Council observed the minute's silence and also lowered their flags to half mast this morning.

Sandwich Town Council staff held their minute's silence within the office.
