Bus and skip lorry crash on A251 Ashford Road near The Red Lion in Badlesmere, Faversham

A route is blocked after a crash between a bus and a skip lorry outside a pub.

The collision happened on the A251 Ashford Road in Badlesmere, Faversham, just before midday today.

Traffic information site Inrix reports that a bus and a lorry carrying waste collided near The Red Lion.

It also suggests there is heavy traffic in the area.

No one is thought to be injured, and officers remain at the scene directing motorists.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 12pm today to Ashford Road, Faversham following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.

“No injuries were reported and officers are currently at the scene assisting with directing traffic while awaiting recovery of the vehicles.”
