Height vehicle used for chimney fire at Water Lane, Faversham

Firefighters used a height vehicle in their efforts tackle a chimney blaze.

They were called out to Water Lane, Faversham, at exactly 6.17pm yesterday.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Firefighters dealt with a chimney fire well alight.

"Crews tackled it and used a height vehicle and a thermal imaging camera to scan the chimney, then remained to make the area safe and offer advice to the resident."

Two fire engines were called out and crews were at the scene for an our and a half.
