Faversham Town striker Renford Tenyue faces lay-off from the game after being diagnosed with a heart condition

Faversham forward Renford Tenyue faces an indefinite period out as he awaits treatment for a heart condition diagnosed following his collapse in a match at the start of November.

Boss Ray Turner revealed: “Ren will be out for some time. He’s had his heart assessed and is waiting to be told what treatment he will undergo.

“He has collapsed two or three times with us before but this is the first time he’s been diagnosed with an irregular heart beat.

“It’s pleasing that action can be taken, whether that’s medication or some kind of small shock to get it back in rhythm but he’ll be sitting out a while until we can get him back and safe.”

Josh Stanford (hamstring) is set to miss the leaders' next couple of games, while Matt Bourne’s calf will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s crucial Ryman League Division 1 clash with fourth-placed Folkestone.
