Folkestone man arrested on suspicion of drink driving following car and bus crash in Common Lane, Dover

A man in his 50s from Folkestone has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash between a car and a bus.

Police were called to the collision in Common Lane, Dover at 4.25pm on Saturday.

Officers attended the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) where a man reported minor injuries.

Kent Police Dover tweeted saying: "Attended an RTC with colleagues from SECAMB & KFRS.

"Thankfully no serious injuries however a driver provided a positive road side breath test. #arrested #dontdrinkanddrive"

A 51-year-old man from Folkestone was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

He has been released pending further investigation.

A SECAmb spokesman said: "Ambulance crews attended the scene following reports of a collision involving a car and a bus.

"Two patients, with minor injuries, were treated at the scene but did not require further hospital treatment."
