A search is underway for a hit-and-run driver who crashed into two parked vehicles.

Officers were called to Sandgate Road, Folkestone at 7.10pm yesterday.

The driver responsible is said to have left the scene before emergency services arrived.

One of the vehicles was left on its roof, while the other two were badly damaged. Debris was left strewn across the road.

Paramedics and firefighters were also called.

A police spokesman said: "A search was carried out in the surrounding area but the whereabouts of this person currently remains unknown."
